︎I TEND TO SAY OVERWHELMED

‘Anxiety for me manifests itself in me redrawing myself from friends and activities that I know will make me feel better. It also makes me overthink situations and feel as though people don’t want me around even though I know that to be false.’
Lauren lives on a more lively residential road. Some of her neighbours are sitting out front, drinking beers and playing football.
‘University definitely impacted me heavily in the first year. Having to walk half an hour to campus makes me very nervous. Walking about on my own.’
‘Honestly when I’m really anxious, leaving the house is the last thing I wanna do. I’m working on it though!’
‘Activities that I find help include skating. I can’t even explain how greatly this has impacted my mental health as a whole since I started. Meeting new people who care about your progression just as much as yourself and an excuse to be outside as much as possible.’
